Fall Creek Tumble

As a landscape observer and artist, I was attracted to the pattern this gushing water created as it rushed through the culvert and around the barely submerged rocks. It was my challenge to give life to this in oil paint. Another goal was to show the shiny surface of the rocks as water slid over them. The creek finally gets to rest and flow quietly after its tumultuous travels! This is near the Old Forge area in Upstate New York.
